AASL Board of Directors (BOD)

AASL has a strong and credible Board of Directors who are professionals working in Sierra Leone and abroad. They have wealth of experiences in their various fields, knowledgeable in aspects of NGO operations, and deeply committed to the country’s development agenda.

Kelvin Xander Lewis is a professional Journalist with well over 20 years experience in the field of Journalism.As proprietor and managing editor of one of Sierra Leone’s leading newspaper, The Awoko, Kelvin’s focus on the issues of governance and accountability is in sync with the mission that AASL seeks to practicalize: promote accountability and giving voice to citizens. Kelvin continues to enjoy the confidence of the VOA African Service, where he is serving as stringer.

Kelvin had served as correspondents for several international radio corporation. including Radio Deutsche Welle, the UN Integrated Regional Information Network and Radio France International. He holds a B.A degree from Njala University.

Richard Solomon Ralph Williams is Sierra Leone’s deputy Accountant General in the Ministry of Finance since 2007.Richard’s 16 years of experience in the field of finance, auditing and accounting both in the public and private sector, will bring a disciplined fiscal management into AA-SL operations and that of the civic sector at large.

A chartered accountant by profession, Richard is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant–UK, and holds an MBA degree, 2009, IPAM-USL.

Martha Ruth Jabati works with the West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) as Senior Assistant Registrar since 1999. Martha is an educationist and an humanitarian. She has invested heavily and is very much involved in advocay campaign for women and girl child right to education, whilst working with the Forum of African Women Educationalists or FAWE from 1998-1999.Martha’s experience and professional reputation on the issue of gender and right access will greatly impact the work of theorganization and that of th sector. Martha holds an M.Sc degree in food and Diettetics (2002) and B.SC degree in Home Economics at Njala University College-USL.

Amara Synnah Lebbie has a knowledge depth in humanitarian operations, through his commited tenure of services to several charitable organizations including the Bo Red Cross Society, as chairman; Planned Parenthood Association,as vice chairman; Moyamba District Development Agency-MODDA, where he is serving from 2006 to date.Mr. Lebbie holds a Masters degree in organizational planning and Management from Reading university , UK in 1991.
